Leh / Sham / Pangong/ Tsomoriri / Khardongla / Leh

A rugged terrain and beautiful high altitude desert formed by the buckling and folding of the earth's crust as the Indian sub-continent pushed with irresistible force against the immovable mass of Asia. Its silhouettes, elevated by the incredible tectonic movements, have been shaped over the ages by the process of erosion, sculpted into the form by wind and water. Dotted with monasteries, beatific lakes, passes and maroon robed monks, Ladakh has been a destination for young and adventures for sure.

Day 01: Leh Airport to Leh Town (4 Kms | 15 minutes approx.)

  • Arrival at Leh airport and transferred to the Hotel.
  • Complete day for acclimatization. 
  • Later, in the evening visit the Leh Market, Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa. 
  • Overnight stay in Leh.

 

Day 02: Leh -Sham Valley - Leh (130 Kms | 5-6 hrs approx.)

  • After breakfast proceed for an excursion to Sham Valley, visit Likir, Alchi Monastery, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Hall of Fame museum and Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar & Indus Rivers).  
  • Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 03: Leh - Pangong Lake (140 Kms | 4-5 hrs approx.)

  • After Breakfast drive for Pangong Lake 14,500 ft, via Changla Pass 17,350 ft, 3rd Highest Motorable road in the world, On arrival check in to the Camp. 
  • Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy beauty of the high altitude of the Lake, surrounded by grey and brown mountains, clean and dust washed. 
  • Count the waves washing the shores of the color changing Lake and be mesmerized by the different shades of blue from Azure to Navy Blue.
  • Overnight in Pangong Lake.

 

Day 04: Pangong Lake to Tsomoriri Lake (200 Kms | 6 - 7 hrs approx.)

  • Morning after breakfast drive to Tsomoriri Lake via Chushul.
  • Arrival at Korzok village by noon. Evening take a walk around the Lake to enjoy the scenic beauty, watch the shades of green and blue mix together as the rolling grass lands surround the lake. Overnight at Korzok. 

Day 05: Tsomoriri – Tsokar - Taglangla – Leh (240 Kms | 7- 8 hrs approx.)

  • Morning after breakfast leave to Leh by a different route via Puga (Sulphur Mine), Tsokar Lake and Taklang La Pass 17,585ft, 2nd Highest motorable road in the world.
  • Arrival at Leh by evening.
  • Overnight stay in  Leh.

Day 06: Leh - Khardong La – Leh ( 80 Kms / 3-4 hrs)

  • Morning after breakfast drive for Khardongla Pass, World’s highest motorable road at 18380 feet.
  • Later, return to hotels, rest of the day free to explore the local market at one’s disposal. 
  • Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 07: Leh to Leh Airport (4 Kms| 15 minutes approx.)  

  • Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination
