Day 1 / Colombo - Pinnawala - Kandy

Upon arrival at Bandranaike International Airport, personal chauffeur guide who will escort you throughout the tour will welcome and proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. It is a breeding ground and orphanage for wild elephants, founded in order to care and provide protection for the many injured and orphaned elephants stranded in the jungle. Upon an early arrival watch the herd as they enjoy a breakfast of leaves and shoots, watch the whole herd make their way through the town for bath time in the Maha Oya River. There after proceed to Kandy (45 Kms - 1.5 hours) and check into your hotel. Late evening enjoy a Cultural Dance Show.

Day 2 / Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast enjoy sightseeing tour in Kandy. The city of Kandy was the last Kingdom of Sri Lanka and has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Sacred Temple of the Tooth is certainly the most revered and iconic place to visit in this cultural capital but other highlights include the historic Kandy Lake, and the scenic Victoria Golf Club. Whilst you are in Kandy, also look out for the silverware, brassware and gem-studded jewelry, carefully carved and designed by the Kandyan craftsman, who are known to be the most skilled in the country. Thereafter leave for Nuwara Eliya (76 Kms - 3 hours). Check in to your hotel and spend rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3 / Ella

After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed to Nanu Oya Railway station (approximate duration- 20 minutes - Distance 9 Km), board the train and enjoy the scenic train ride experience. Departure from Nanu Oya at 12.30 PM Arrive in Ella at 15.15 PM. From Ella station you will be picked by your chauffeur guide and will transfer you to your overnight hotel (15 minutes - 3 Kms). Check in to your hotel and spend rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 4 / Yala

After breakfast proceed to Yala (3 hours - 126 Kms). Check-in to your hotel. In the evening proceed to the deep south of the island and venture out on a game drive in search of native wildlife through Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s oldest and largest national parks. If you’re lucky, you may be able to spot three of Sri Lanka’s “Big Five” endangered animals on one single safari, since the Sri Lankan leopard, sloth bear and elephant can all be found here. In fact, the park is known to have one of the highest density of leopards in a concentrated area. Return to your hotel and relax.

Day 5 / Colombo

After breakfast proceed to Colombo (6 hours - 240 Kms). Late afternoon proceed on a Half day City/ Shopping tour of Colombo - The city of Colombo, dating back over 600 years, was a trading hub for sea merchants and colonial rulers. The wide array of Buddhist and Hindu temples, mosques and churches reflect the various beliefs practiced all over the island and the beautiful facades of the old, colonial buildings contrast with the modern shopping arcades. Your insightful tour takes you past the Pettah bazar area, the Wolfendhal Dutch Church, the Old Parliament complex, The Bandaranaike International Memorial Hall, Nelum Pokuna Theatre, Viharamahadevi Park and the Independence Square. Return to your hotel and relax.

Day 6 / Departure

After breakfast day is at leisure for personal activities till you are transferred to the airport in time to connect with the international flight for departure. Tour Ends.
